Sarah Cooper has an extensive background in the Business of Beauty. In 2007 she Co-Founded Bobby Cooper Salon, Inc., which she sold in 2019. There she gained extensive experience in cultivating teams, implementing critical Education, and developing high-performing and high-earning Beauty Industry staff that were career/business focussed. She was a key leader in Community Involvement, Business Development Strategy, Marketing and overall Business Growth. In 2018 she Founded, and brought to market, the total technology solution for hair salons and spas, Aura Salonware, Inc., based in Miami Beach, FL, which was built to automate best practices, reduce costs and generate revenue. After getting Aura to a place where new CEO, Jonathan Levine, could scale the company, after three successful rounds of capital raises, she decided to open her dream business, Lux Lab Hair + Body, a total beauty and wellness resource, with a Membership Program that would provide extensive value to guests day after day. Working with Aura’s lead investor, Steve Fredette, President of Toast, Inc ($8.9B enterprise value) she learned a lot about subscription services, which she applied to Lux Lab’s “Lux Pass” Membership program, providing exclusive Member’s Only Pricing and exceptional perks to enhance the value of services the salon and med-spa offer. She and Co-Founder of Lux Lab, Inc, Corey Sleet, also her best friend since 2000, opened Lux Lab in Carmel, IN, late 2022 where they hired a talented group of Medical Staff, including Medical Director, Melanie Kingsley MD, an in-house Clinical Director & Nurse Practitioner, with almost a decade of Aesthetic Medicine experience, to ensure all certifications, protocols and safety measures are executed daily and can over see the medical staff of RN’s, MA’s and Medical Aestheticians. They assembled the staff for the Hair and Med-Spa departments as well as Apprentices and Customer Service/Support, all to form the incredible team to deliver impeccable results the city has been waiting for. At Lux Lab, Sarah was responsible for all design and implementation of the Carmel location, and handles all things related to business development, growth strategy, community out-reach & involvement and philanthropy.
